Wanda Altman was born and raised in Montana but has been a South Carolina resident since 1974. She and her family moved to the ‘Muddy Creek’ area in 1990 when their oldest daughter was ready to start first-grade. The small town atmosphere and the fact that her husband Jeff had dozens of family members here added to the attraction. Wanda is the mother of three girls - Amanda, Jasmine and Crystal. She is an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and serves as a Sunday School teacher, Evangelism Chairperson, secretary of the United Methodist Women, and Membership Secretary for the Administrative Board. Community activities include serving as a board member for the Hemingway Campground and as chairperson for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. She attended Midwest Business College in Colorado Springs, Colorado but freely admits that most of her knowledge has been gained ‘on-the-job’. She spent over fourteen years working with government contractors in the Charleston area providing administrative support. Her duties included preparing technical and cost proposals in response to Government requests and coordinating reporting requirements for existing contracts. |
