Ebenezer United Church under took a mission several years ago which began with a study to determine the needs of our church family-young and old alike. This study revealed a need for loving, safe, and supervised activities for children of all ages with a particular emphasis on youth 10 through 18. An expanded youth ministry was the results with Ebenezer now seeing an average attendance on Sunday evenings of over 50 children. Looking beyond the needs of our church and into the community, the church recognized the need for quality child care for working parents. The number of day care centers was limited and many parents were reporting great difficulty in finding someone to care for their children. From this reported need the Ebenezer Christian Childcare Center was born. 
    An outreach ministry of Ebenezer United Methodist Church provides quality childcare to the community. Ebenezer Christian Childcare Center offers full-time, half-time and after school programs to area children. The center provides care for children 6-weeks through 12 years old and is conveniently located midway between Hemingway and Johnsonville. Emphasis is placed on Christian education as well as readiness skills using the A Baka Book curriculum. Hours of operation are from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM. We see the future every day, moving among us in the faces of our children. These precious gifts from God are the hope for a brighter tomorrow.
