In Honor of Rhae Cribb

Ebenezer Church was truly blessed when Rhae Cribb  joined her husband Buddy Cribb as a member in 1949. She brought with her a rich spiritual background from her home and church. Supported and encouraged by her husband, who was already actively involved in all church activities, she became the leader of the young people, then known as Methodist Youth Fellowship. For approximately forty years by personal example and by teaching, she molded that group into an effective unit, not only in the local church, but also in the district organization. Many of these young people have become active leaders here at Ebenezer and other churches. That her leadership had a positive effect on their lives is reflected also in the stain glass window which former members of all ages and from all over the state and beyond dedicated to her in 1995 with love and appreciation for her lasting influence on their lives.
She did not limit her dedication to the church program just to the young people. She taught a class for the young people on Sunday morning, She sung in the church choir. Her beautiful voice kept her in constant demand as a soloist in church and for special occasions. She was very active in the Women's Society, and any fund raising event for the benefit of the church remodeling, rebuilding, and maintenance, received her full support. In fact some Sunday's Buddy, Rhae, and their two boys seem to spend most of the day at Sunday school, Worship, board and committee meetings, choir practice and youth fellowship. Barely did they ever miss church except now and then for a Clemson football weekend.
Now in retirement, Rhae did give up her sponsorship of the youth and teaching, but she continues her dedication to every church activity, members, facilities, and programs, not just as a spectator, but as an active participant in keeping  and carrying out decisions that promote the spiritual and material welfare of the church. She also serves as a member of the official board, member of the nominating Committee, and church trustee.
Surely the generous, wise contributions of her time and talents can't be measured, but there is no doubt that they have enriched and strengthened Ebenezer Church for more than fifty years.
