(as listed in the most recent newsletter). In particular, if you update your email address,

Walks:
To attend a walk, you will need to have a sponsor who has previously attended.
If you are interested in attending and don't know anyone who might sponsor you,
contact any member of the board (listed in the newsletter),
and we will help you get in touch with someone from your church or your community who can help you.
Sponsors: You can download an application to sponsor a pilgrim on an upcoming walk.
When we have received a sufficient number of applications, we will schedule our next set of walks. Walks are generally held in the spring or the fall.
Walks are held at
Camp Summers and Manget
[map] in Cameron,
South Carolina.
Sendoff and Closing are usually held at
Jericho United Methodist Church
[map] just east of Cameron. Sendoff is at 6:30 PM on Thursday evening. Closing is at 4:30 PM on Sunday.
(Sendoff and closing services are for community members and current walk participants only.)
Community members are also invited to the candlelight service on Saturday during the walks at 8:00 PM
to pray for all those who are taking part on the weekend. The candlelight service is usually at
Providence United Methodist Church
[map]
on US 176 less than two miles west of I-95.
There is no child care at sendoff, closing, or the candlelight service.
Please arrange for someone to care for your children at home when attending these events.
Gatherings:
Gatherings, open to everyone, are normally held monthly on the third Friday
except when this would conflict with Walk schedules or Easter weekend.
The Gathering begins at 6:00 P.M. with refreshments followed at 7:00 P.M. by a time of worship
with singing, a Fourth Day speaker, and Holy Communion.
The Gathering immediately following each set of Walks begins with a meal
at 6:00 P.M., followed by worship.
Our Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the activities of the
community. You can find the names and contact information for board members in
most issues of the newsletter.
