Ponderings of the President
The year is rushing past us at what seems to be an ever increasing speed. Here it is August and annual reports are due. I urge each unit president to work with their Cluster leaders to get all reports in NOW, so that they can get them to me by Sept. 1.
I commend those of you who attended Christian School of Mission. I hope you went away feeling as blessed as I did. I think this was the very best I've ever attended. I pray that all units will make the school a part of their annual budgets. Plan to send at least one (your Spiritual Growth Coordinator, if you have one) and possibly even two persons.
SCCUMW Annual meeting will be held on October 10 & 11 at Broad St. UMC in Clinton. Make plans to be there and make hotel reservations now. Hotels in Clinton are filling up due to a college Homecoming game. Check in surrounding areas. A list of hotels is included in this issue.
Marion District Annual meeting is later this year due to a Conference conflict. Mark your calendars for October 25 and plan to join us at FUMC-Conway. I encourage all officers in each unit to be present.
Last but not in any way least, is a reminder of our Tri District Retreat at Spring maid Beach September 19-21. See info in this issue. If you can't attend all sessions at least register and come to the Saturday sessions.
